A proud husband and father, my life revolves around family, faith, fitness, and work. My educational background is in biochemistry and immunology and have built a career in the biotech industry, specifically around clinical genetic testing.I’m a vehemently competitive person and I am truly motivated by spinning up positive feedback loops (i.e. goal -> plan -> work -> results -> repeat ->). After high school sports I always felt unfulfilled with “bro-lifting”, the typical fitness routines, and casual sports I was around in college. Then I stumbled on CrossFit…What I love about our crazy fitness culture is, at the core, the methodology. Striving to improve fitness across all domains in a data/metric-driven manner just hits home with the way my brain works. I am obsessed with data and numbers, so following a plan, mixing up work in both comfortable and uncomfortable types of fitness, digging deep on our daily WOD, and trying to hit new PRs all feed into my competitive nature and that positive feedback loop I thrive on. I’ve been CrossFit-ing since 2012 and have never looked back.
